Casting confirmations, script readings and new drama announcements! Find all the current affairs of Korean dramaland below!

Netflix is bringing a webtoon based drama titled Lee Doo Na which has confirmed main cast of Yang Se Jong (he was so swoony in Still 17) and Suzy (Start-Up). The drama is about a connection formed between a vocalist of a popular band, who announces her retirement and starts living in a shared house, and a college student who lives in the same house. So glad this is not another fantasy romance!

Script reading was held for SBS legal drama (*yawns* not another law drama!) Law Money. At least the cast is solid — Lee Sun Gyun (My Mister) plays a Chief Investment Officer who plans revenge on behalf of someone he respects and Moon Chae Won (Flower Of Evil) stars as an elite judicial officer. The drama is penned by the writer of Man To Man and is slated for January 6 premiere.

Kim Soo Hyun (It’s Okay To Not Be Okay) and Kim Ji Won (My Liberation Notes) are confirmed for Queen Of Tears, the new drama from hit scriptwriter Park Ji Eun (Crash Landing on You, My Love From The Star, The Producers). It’s a tale about a married couple — definitely sounds interesting as we don’t usually see a story centered around a young married couple. The drama plans to air in second half of 2023.

Yoo In Na (Touch Your Heart), Yoon Hyun Min (My Holo Love) and Joo Sang Wook (Alchemy Of Souls) are teaming up for ENA rom-com Bo Ra! Deborah. It’s a love story between a dating coach and a man who struggles in love. The plot is just my cup of tea and I really like Yoo In Na. Bonus: it is written by the writer of acclaimed drama Mad For Each Other.
