Moon Chae Won headlines fantasy ‘Mama Fairy And The Woodcutter’ for tvN

I’m eagerly waiting for new tvN drama Mama Fairy And The Woodcutter as its plot sounds fascinating. It is based on a webtoon which itself is based on a Korean folktale called The Fairy And The Woodcutter. Moon Chae Won, whose last few shows were disappointing (Criminal Minds, Goodbye Mr. Black), plays the titular fairy and I must say she looks radiant in the teasers. Continue reading

Lee Jun Ki, Moon Chae Won and Sohn Hyun Joo lead the Korean remake of ‘Criminal Minds’

There are a lot of permutations and combinations regarding upcoming drama Criminal Minds that make me excited for it. Lee Jun Ki is coming back in a modern role after what looks like ages, his last three shows being all sageuks (Joseon Gunman, Scholar Who Walks The Night, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Ryeo). Revenge melodrama ‘Goodbye Mr. Black’ premieres today


It’s funny the way I’m dropping dramas left and right, especially after saying positive things about them. Case in point — Descendants Of The Sun and Come Back Ajusshi. I liked the premiere week for both with some minor complaints but in the second week, I found myself complaining a lot about the former and found my interest equal to zero to proceed. As for the latter, I was only enjoying the comedy but everything else was meh. Continue reading
