I’m thrilled to see Song Joong Ki in a romance drama! He has done romance in his previous roles but those shows (Reborn Rich, Vincenzo, Arthdal Chronicles) had focus on something else rather than being a complete romance story. I’m also happy that his costar will be Chun Woo Hee (The Atypical Family) who I absolutely loved in Be Melodramatic. Their new show is called My Youth and it’s a reunion love story. Melo Is My Nature is the newly premiered drama on JTBC and tells the very common but always welcome trope of three women (and friends) in their 30s navigating through love, relationships, work and life struggles. Chun Woo Hee (Argon) plays a drama writer, Han Ji Eun (100 Days My Prince) plays the head of the marketing department of a production company and Jun Yeo Bin (Live) plays a documentary director.

I’ve always said that there is a certain allure when stars who mostly work in films decide to visit dramaland once in a while. This time it’s Kim Joo Hyuk and Chun Woo Hee who will grace our screens and in a drama to be broadcast on — where else — everyone’s go-to channel tvN.
