Remember what I said about not being a sageuk lover? Well, now I will be watching not one but two sageuks for coming months as after getting totally entertained by last week’s premiered drama Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, I’m looking forward to this week’s premiere show — Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Goryeo. The latter is surely a star-studded drama as we have lots and lots of actors performing the K-version of a popular Chinese novel and drama. And that is probably the main reason I’m excited about the show. It is basically a romance story with some garnishing of fantasy elements. Continue reading

I’ve read a lot about the popularity of period Chinese novel and drama based on it — Bu Bu Jing Xin — and so when I heard that Korea is remaking it into a drama, I was not clueless about the project (as I’m for many other remakes). Producers provides buckets of entertainment, humour and a fun time with an excellent cast and camaraderie. Don’t let the episode length of more than 1 hour concern you for picking up this show, because for me, the episodes never seemed long and more than anything, it provided me an enjoyable ride from start to finish.
