Among the upcoming dramas that are starting together (and so many of them have their premiere lined up in April), I’m most excited about Gu Family Book (among  the sageuk copiousness) and the office romantic comedy God Of The Workplace. The latter seems a light, funny take on the workplace genre with a dash of romance, filled with amusing characters and humor. Kim Hye Soo stars as Ms.Kim, a working woman who is extremely competent and talented, with about hundreds of certificates and licenses under her name. Continue reading →

Gu Family Book, Kdrama, Lee Seung Gi, Suzy

After we got the stills of adorable Lee Seung Gi in his very first sageuk look for the fantasy drama Gu Family Book, here are the stills featuring our heroine Suzy, who looks charming as well. She is playing the role of Dam Yeo Wool, a daughter of a martial arts teacher. She herself is well-trained in it, along with bow and arrow. I’m liking the fact that our heroine is a brave and smart warrior, with a badass attitude. Her father in the drama is Jo Sung Ha (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), also featured in the pictures. Yeon Jung Hoon

It sure seems like I’m writing so many posts about weekend dramas. The new entry is the MBC drama I Summon You, Gold. The drama stars Yeon Jung Hoon in the lead role, and that I find really interesting. I love it when the action heroes star in a romance, comedy drama as it gives me a chance to swoon over them in a romantic role as well!!  I haven’t got the chance to see the much acclaimed show Vampire Prosecutor, but I can understand it to a T that it’s completely different from his role in this weekend drama. The female lead is Han Ji Hye (May Queen), who I found cute and adorable in Sweet 18. Continue reading →

I’m really excited for the upcoming fantasy sageuk Gu Family Book, the major reason being my love for Lee Seung Gi. I’m not a historical drama fan, but if it involves fusion elements, I’m all in. I was wondering how my favorite actor will look in a sageuk role, and with his first stills released, I’m rest assured that there will be lots of cuteness galore from his side. The first adjective that comes into mind whenever I see him is ‘cute’. Continue reading →

Kdrama, Moon Geun Young, The Goddess of Fire Jeongi

I first saw Moon Geun Young in My Little Bride, my first ever venture into Korean entertainment. I loved that film (still love it to pieces) and liked her a lot. She was cute and carried emotional scenes pretty well. Later, when I started watching dramas, a far better thing than the Korean movies, I wasn’t interested in seeing any of her dramas as they didn’t attract me because of their poor reviews. I really want to see Painter Of The Wind some day as it has got good feedback, Continue reading →
