Kim Myung Min. Yoo Ah In. Byun Yo Han. How can I turn a blind eye like I normally do for long sageuks when the drama signs on these powerhouse performers together. I would never have imagined these names to be written down in a single line but I’m totally anticipating this drama. Can you believe that? For a long sageuk, the story of which sounds all boring and political. LOL. Anyway, the epic series Six Flying Dragons is going to be broadcast on SBS, a highly ambitious project, and comes from the team behind highly acclaimed historical drama Tree With Deep Roots, which came in 2011. A New Leaf, Episodes 5-9: It keeps getting better

A New Leaf is following the formula of slow and steady as it completes its first half. I’m loving it more and more with each episode. It is such a relaxed and smooth drama and I like everything about it except the scenes that involve too much financial-law based conversations that prove to be simply a cure for insomnia. But I’m as pleased as punch that with each new day, those boring scenes are getting reduced. Yay. Continue reading →

I admit that A New Leaf did not have that high level of energy in its first week but it was compelling enough to make me look forward to the upcoming episodes. I like that the show established just enough description about our characters, especially Suk Joo, as he is the one who will undergo personality makeover after his accident and what is the use of it all if the viewers can’t notice that change. New MBC drama A New Leaf is here taking over the Wednesday – Thursday slot. I’m amazed how the show efficiently managed to smoothly move from comical situations to more serious and dramatic ones. We have been introduced to the players and their relationships and I liked the first week of the drama, which was a nice mix of everything — bickering leads, charismatic lawyers, unscrupulous  guys, thoughtful silences.
