I’m as keen as mustard for new JTBC fantasy rom-com Destined With You. Reasons — the lovely cast and the compelling plot. It is about a lawyer who is bound by a centuries old curse and a civil servant who can set him free with the help of a forbidden book that was sealed 300 years ago. Main leads are played by Rowoon (Tomorrow) and Jo Bo Ah (Tale Of The Nine Tailed). The main leads also have a 300 years old previous life connection. The past connection trope works here as it’s a history related fantasy story. Continue reading

My Lovely Boxer is one of my most awaited dramas personally. The plot just sounds so interesting, with potential for a story full of warmth, fun and growth. It is about a female boxing star who suddenly left the sports 3 years ago and disappeared from the scene to live a new life. A cold blooded sports agent, who doesn’t feel guilty of match-fixing for money and the success of his athletes, then tries to bring her back to the boxing ring at the request of a client who he respects a lot. Action comedies are one of my favourite sub genres and Netflix is bringing an addition to it in the form of movie Officer Black Belt. The film will star Kim Woo Bin and Kim Sun Kyun in the lead roles. Yay for the cast as well!
