I’m super excited for new SBS drama Our Beloved Summer as it sounds really cute and stars two of the actors I love — Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi. The show looks breezy, youthful and adorable with the leads playing high school sweethearts who broke up years ago. More often than not, the sequels or prequels or season extensions tend to disappoint, or fail to meet the expectations of an acclaimed and beloved movie or TV show. Forest Of Secrets (aka Stranger for Netflix viewers) aired in 2017 and it was a tall order to match its stupendousness. It’s been 3 years since critically acclaimed as well as popular thriller Forest Of Secrets (also known as Stranger) aired but I only got a chance to catch up with it recently and wow, mind officially blown by its brilliance. Story, characters, subject, acting — everything is top notch. It’s a good thing I just finished this series as I wonder how I would have waited for three years for the second season, arriving this August.
