New daily drama!! It’s titled Bravo My Life and will mark the return of Im Joo Hwan (Tamra The Island) to dramas after his military service. I have not seen any of his projects, except Boys Before Flowers; where he played Kim Bum’s hyung. The description of this daily soap sounds so quintessential of the drama type: it is a drama that shows the meaning of family and how everyone within that frame understands each other.
Im Joo Hwan plays a lonely man whose mother ran away and father is a con artist. Kang So Ra (Dream High 2) will play the female lead. The show also stars Shin So Yool, who i found really adorable in Answer Me 1997 and she was last seen in the disappointing show Alice In Cheongdam-dong as Moon Geun Young’s best friend. Here, she will be the second daughter of a rich family and also a publicity manager of a fashion firm. Choi Tae Jun will be our hero’s step brother and possibly her love interest in the drama. Child actor Kang Yi Suk (Five Fingers) will play the younger version of Im Joo Hwan.
Bravo My Life will be helmed by PD of Rooftop Prince, and the writer did shows like Gloria and Stars Falling From the Sky. As I already mentioned in one of my previous posts, I feel that daily dramas are time consuming and tend to drag the story; but they have a great viewership even if they are relatively less popular internationally. Also, once we start watching a daily soap, it becomes like a habit we can’t leave and always turn on the TV to watch what will happen next as the characters grow on us.
Bravo My Life will premiere in May on SBS.
