He Who Wishes To Wear the Crown Endure Its Weight: Heirs, Heirs, Heritors, Kdrama, Kim Woo Bin, Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye
It looks like ages since I wrote my last post about the most awaited drama of the year or Heirs or Heritors (its official English title) (or The One Trying to Wear the Crown, Withstands the Weight – The Heirs) as most of the casting was completed and now what is left is the shooting, which kick started a few weeks ago and now the team is headed to the US for the filming. It so very looks like Boys Before Flowers with all its grandeur and all. As much as I enjoyed BBF, I don’t want to see part 2. Despite my misgivings on the story about loves and friendships of the über rich school students, I’m actually full of the joys of spring for Heirs as it stars so MANY of my favorite actors. Now, how often is that when I can see all my beloved actors in a single drama– for 16 hours or more than that!! How can I miss this golden chance? I can watch them even if they show nothing but regular class studies of their so-called elite school.
Okay, just to remind ourselves, the cast of Heirs:
GUYS: Lee Min Ho, Choi Jin Hyuk, Kim Woo Bin, Kang Ha Neul, Kang Min Hyuk and Park Hyung Shik.
GIRLS: Park Shin Hye, Kim Ji Won, Krystal Jung and Im Joo Eun.
As a matter of fact, the show held its script reading in early August but the pictures have just been released and they consist of the whole cast and it’s fun to play the game ‘spot the celebrity’ here. LOL. I’m always a happy camper for movies with lots of stars (namely He’s Just Not That Into You, Love Actually, Valentine’s Day, New Years Eve) even when not all of them are narratively satisfying.
Heirs is written by star writer Kim Eun Sook, whose only drama I’ve seen is Secret Garden, which was totally enjoyable but was quite shallow. The direction is by the PD of dramas like Midas and Tazza. As for the synopsis, I’ve read some tidbits regarding all connections between everyone but I’m staying away from reading it as (1) it’s confusing and (2) it’s kind of spoilery.
Heirs premieres after Master’s Sun finale and that is on October 9. SBS is surely having a great time starting with I Hear Your Voice (which got lots of love as well as ratings), continuing the same tradition with Master’s Sun and hopefully, the follow-up drama will garner the same, judging from the anticipation everyone has regarding it.

Phwaaaar, now; I don’t find Lee Min Ho the slightest bit good looking in my eyes, BUT hold the phone, that pic of him ^ Is just so asdf worthy. Seriously; he looks so gooooooood. Omo, HHAH/
Quite pumped for this drama. Can’t wait!
really!!!! You don’t like LEE MIN HO!!!! 🙂
He is one of my most favorite actors actually…..this drama has so many stars that one can find at least one who suits their liking 😀
By the way, who is your fav??
I don’t dislike him, I just don’t find him attractive D: There’s no denying the fact that his acting is great but in terms of attractiveness I’ve never been able to see it UNTIL that one photo. He looks different and I’ totally digging the look.
Favourite totally would have to be Park Shin Hye; I adore her to bits, tbh; I’m going to reserve judgement with the guys since I don’t really like any of them… of course except for Choi Jin Hyuk ❤
If I had to pick one person I’d check this drama out for it would be Choi Jin Hyuk. Yum!
Yeah I’m not into LMH either, but I did do a double take at that pic of him rocking the cap backwards 😉
Right? I was like ‘omo!’ is that him? It’s nice to see his hair out of his face^^ The hat gives of a totally rebel/badass look. I like xD
Awww….both of you are on the same boat….
I like him a lot!!!!! 🙂
Who is your favorite DDee??
I have a major crush on Gong Yoo 😉
Gong Yoo is great!! I love his expressions when he is in love in a drama, nobody can do it better than him 🙂
Reblogged this on Caca royalskim Airen.
I’m quite excited for Heirs.. But I’m trying not to have very high expectations and then get disappointed! Btw I must be one of the few that haven’t watched Boys Over Flowers and I don’t think that I want to watch it. But as far as Lee Min Ho goes, I do believe his is talented and well he is good looking but I never thhought of him as drop dead gorgeous.BUT in this pic where you can actually see his face well what can I say? 🙂
Actually he is not drop dead gorgeous…..but when you see him in a drama, he just steals the show with his charisma 🙂
I can understand the reason for not wanting to watch BOF. I watched it in my initial days (when reviews were only limited to google search and whenever I typed Kdrama suggestions, it was always on the list and I read that it was a huge success).
BOF is not a great drama..far from it…many negative points but thoroughly enjoyable 🙂
Well exactly.. I find it much more important for an actor to be able to make you like him with his acting skills and his charisma than with his looks. Although having something pretty to look at never hurt anyone but still the important thing is not that.. 🙂 That’s why I liked everything with Lee Min Ho I’ve watched so far.. 🙂
this drama is will surely kill all fangirls with squeez and spazz!..imagining Lee Min Ho as the lead and Kim Woo Bin as the second lead…plus Min-Hyuk and the rest of adorable cuties on screen!…you would definitely say OMO!..SBS promotional materials for this upcoming drama is quite enticing…just couldn’t wait for the opening telecast this coming October..
Seriously….there are actors for everyone!! Cuteness overload 😀
the wait is really annoying…..
…and yes the waiting is quite a nuance…
