The highly anticipated adaptation from a very popular and beloved webtoon, Cheese In The Trap is finally arriving on our screens tomorrow as it’s premiering as the new Monday-Tuesday drama for tvN, following Bubblegum which I intended to watch but time did not permit and now I have so many shows in line that I don’t know when I’ll be able to watch it. Anyway, Park Hae Jin and Kim Go Eun are the main leads in this campus romance with a mystery vibe. I maybe in the minority here to not have overly high expectations as I haven’t read the webtoon. I’m interested in the drama because college-based shows are a rare thing in dramaland, I like the actors and I’m excited to see Kim Go Eun in her first drama role after getting praised for her movie roles.
Cheese In The Trap stars Park Hae Jin (Bad Guys) as a perfect guy who has a mysterious side to him. Kim Go Eun (Coin Locker Girl) plays his love interest. Seo Kang Joon (Hwajung) and Lee Sun Kyung (It’s Okay, It’s Love) complete the love square. Nam Joo Hyuk (Who Are You – School 2015) and Park Min Ji (The Marriage Plot) star as our heroine’s best friends. I like the set-up and I’m hoping for a fun, youthful and cute romantic vibe from the show. It is directed by the PD of Coffee Prince, Heart To Heart and Triple — another plus and also we can expect an indie like feel in the execution.
Cheese In The Trap starts on 4 January. I love how far the team has gone in the posters to relate to the cheese of the title!
Wow! All that cheese 🙂 This one’s mentioned a lot by bloggers so I’m sure it’ll be covered quite extensively. So I’m adopting a wait and see approach since I’m planning to watch Signal when it premieres.
I’m also eagerly waiting for Signal…I’m not overly excited for Cheese In The Trap but I’ll give it a try…college romance is one of my favourites…haha
Another one here who’s waiting for Signal. XD Not too hot on this type of webtoon adaptations, so I’m not sure if I’ll even bother to give it a go.
Signal seems so promising with a great cast…can’t wait for that!
