I watched Melo Is My Nature (also known as Be Melodramatic) a few days back and I absolutely loved it. The soundtrack was among the prime factors for loving this drama. So here is the list of songs that are on loop since I first heard them, and some grew on me as I watched this lovely, low-key show.

Your Shampoo Scent In the Flowers by Jang Bum Joon

There is no way this song doesn’t get into your head after it is played so many times in the drama. The song has used such an unusual word ‘shampoo’ in its lyrics which talks about missing the one you loved. It has a chirpy tone. It has two other versions as well, one a ballad and the other one sung by the actors, Chun Woo Hee and Ahn Jae Hong. The happy version is mainly played with these two — the song, in the show, is written by latter’s character’s ex-girlfriend.

Your Shampoo Scent In the Flowers (Ballad Version) by SAya and Jae Yun

I dearly love this slow version. The song slowly starts with Saya in her beautiful, soothing voice and then later Jae Yun joins in during the high notes.

Undecided by Shin In Ryu

It’s a love ballad and I love the beautiful opening music after which the main song starts. The voice of the singer is very different than we normally hear in Korean drama ballads and makes this song captivating.

It’s a Lie by Yoo Seung Woo

The track starts with a mischievous tone and announces the cute nature of entire song. It talks about how the person thought his or her friends weren’t dating but it’s a lie. Also, another lie is that 30s is only the beginning but the singer is not even ready yet. The song is played many times during the adorable scenes. One of my favourites!

Moonlight by Ha Hyun Sang

Another romantic ballad, which is more serious in tone. Vey melodious and has beautiful opening music. Played during emotional scenes in the drama.

Far From Melo by ZEEBOMB

A fast track with lyrics that talk about how the singer is far from melo and love, but the tone of the song is actually upbeat. Even the song is used in happy moments. I like it!

Dear My Friend by Chun Woo Hee, Jun Yeo Bin, Han Ji Eun, Ahn Jae Hong, Gong Myung, Yoon Ji On

The very first thing — all the main actors come together to sing this song! It is played during episode end credits and it is a song that instantly makes your spirits high.

Slow Pace (aka Slow Steps) by Yoon Ji On , Nam Young Joo

I fell in love with this song the moment I listened to it and this is also the first song from the album that caught my attention. Eun Jung’s brother Hyo Bong sings this in the studio with a guitar. I love how after first few lines by the male voice, the female joins in. The song is very soothing and actually gives the feels of slow steps, in a good way!

Cannot Hide

It’s just a theme music but oh it gives so many feels! Emotional, deep and just touches your heart.
