I have always liked Soo Ae but I have not seen her dramas in recent years. She has confirmed her new drama, titled Duke City and it will star Kim Kang Woo opposite her. the actress last appeared on small screen in 2016 drama Sweet Stranger and Me while Kim Kang Woo was in 2019 drama Woman of 9.9 Billion.

Duke City is a drama-thriller set in the world of politics and conglomerates. Sung Jin is the business group at the center of the story and Soo Ae plays the head of the Sung Jin Cultural Foundation, who is practical in her thinking, thus, entering a marriage of convenience with the group head’s illegitimate son, played by Kim Kang Woo. She starts planning to make her husband the nation’s president. The drama will depict the power play among its characters.

I won’t call this plot as an instant pick-me-up for me but I like the cast and I’m interested to know more about the plot. Plus, it’s JTBC so that raises the interest level as well. The show is slated to premiere in the second half of 2021.
