KBS is bringing a sports drama to its schedule and it is based on a 2014 novel titled Pure Boxer Lee Kwon Sook. The name of the drama is Pure Boxer and its plot sounds interesting — it follows a sports agent and a former female boxer.

Lee Sang Yeob (Once Again) plays a cold-blooded sports agent who draws talented athletes and makes as much money as he can via their short period of being active in the sports. He respects one of his clients, an excellent baseball pitcher, a lot and in order to fulfill his wish, he has to bring a former female boxer, played by Kim So Hye (I.O.I., Her Bucket List), back to the boxing ring. She is someone who achieved huge success in boxing at the age of 17 but disappeared after that and started a new life away from boxing.

Pure Boxer is adapted by screenwriter Kim Min Joo, who has penned daily dramas like Gold Mask and Sunny Again Tomorrow. The show will air in first half of 2023.
