Weekend drama Wonderful Mama is gearing up for its premiere this week, i.e., on April 13 on SBS and it is planning to have about 50 episodes (it is a family weekend drama after all). The show is a heartwarming tale about a single mother (Bae Jong Ok) who goes from being a small shop owner to a billionaire loan shark with three spoiled children who learn to grow up in life when she is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I love Hong Sisters and they are back with their new drama. This week has been full of good news, starting with Lee Min Ho starring in a new drama, then came Park Shin Hye to cast alongside him and now this. To be honest, this is the news I was waiting for as I always wanted to hear about Hong Sisters’ new show, notwithstanding the disappointment called Big that was their last drama. I have always loved all of their dramas and what can be the proof more than the fact that my top three dramas are written by them: Delightful Girl Choon Hyang, You’re Beautiful and Best Love (in that order.) A few days back, it was reported that Kim Nam Gil (Bad Guy) is positively considering the leading role in the revenge melodrama Shark. And now, it has been confirmed that he has signed on his next project as this drama, which is the third in the revenge franchise that includes Resurrection and Devil as the other shows. It’s time for some stills for the upcoming weekend drama I Summon You, Gold. I don’t know what that name suggests except for the fact that our heroine, or rather both her and her rival will be connected to jewelry designing. Hence, the ‘gold’ in the title. Han Ji Hye stars as a hardworking, sweet girl and also as a rich daughter-in-law. They are not related and so I don’t get the logic of resemblance. *reminds herself that it is dramaland and therefore, logic goes down the drain* Or maybe they will create some last minute birth secret!
