Crash Course In Romance could have been a perfect sweet, funny and delightful story of parenting, family and love but it suffers from something that many recent rom-com dramas do — adding unnecessary thriller angle. It was an exceptional case for me with new Korean drama Crash Course In Romance. I started it and didn’t continue after first few minutes because it wasn’t capturing my interest. Then next day, I decided to give it another try because it was a drama I wanted to watch since its announcement. What a great decision! Because after watching the first two episodes, I’m in love. I’m super excited for upcoming tvN romance titled One Shot Scandal for multiple reasons. Firstly, the show is written by the screenwriter of so many delightful dramas like High School King of Savvy, Oh My Ghost and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. Secondly, it stars two brilliant actors in the lead roles — Jeon Do Yeon (The Good Wife, Lost, movie The Housemaid) and Jung Kyung Ho (Hospital Playlist, Life on Mars). And the plot sounds just my cup of tea. The drama is also going by the title Ilta Scandal. Continue reading

I’m extremely happy and excited whenever an actor returns to small screen after a long time, and you can imagine the level of anticipation if the time period is equal to 11 years! Yes, I’m talking about Jeon Do Yeon‘s drama comeback through headlining The Good Wife for tvN. Her last drama was romance melo Lovers In Prague, which came in 2005 and she has been focusing only on films since then. On the other hand, I’ve heard so many good things about the original American tv series that I’m more keen to check out that show. Hence, the dilemma! If I watch Korean The Good Wife, the fun will be spoiled for the original. Sigh. Continue reading
