Scholar Who Walks The Night is the name of upcoming fantasy sageuk on MBC and the drama is more famous for the casting roulette that happened regarding the female leads rather than its subject matter. For a while it looked like the production would get stuck and would not see the light anytime soon. But finally the casting got confirmed with Lee Jun ki headlining the show along with Lee Yoo Bi, Kim So Eun, Changmin (of Kpop group TVXQ) and Lee Soo Hyuk. The balance of the leads does look weird as we have brilliance called Lee Jun Ki on one hand, and the others are also quite good but still a bit green and new. Continue reading →

First thing first: if you are going for Warm And Cozy for some deep, complex plot, you’ll be disappointed. But if you want to delve into a story which is warm, soothing, sweet about two people who are so different and yet so same, then this drama is for you. The tone of the show is definitely different from the usual stuff we see in dramaland. Maybe it’s due to the setting, which is in Jeju Island or it can be because the drama does not comes out of the gate with many plot points or narratives. Kim Myung Min. Yoo Ah In. Byun Yo Han. How can I turn a blind eye like I normally do for long sageuks when the drama signs on these powerhouse performers together. I would never have imagined these names to be written down in a single line but I’m totally anticipating this drama. Can you believe that? For a long sageuk, the story of which sounds all boring and political. LOL. Anyway, the epic series Six Flying Dragons is going to be broadcast on SBS, a highly ambitious project, and comes from the team behind highly acclaimed historical drama Tree With Deep Roots, which came in 2011. I can’t believe the deluge of dramas that is arriving on my screen. May looks like the month of drama premieres. Ex-Girlfriend Club and Warm And Cozy have already started and soon this week will see the launch of Producers and Orange Marmalade, both hitting the air on Friday. Then there is Masked Prosecutor next week and Mask after that. Usually I don’t have much problem but what can a Kdrama fan do when she is interested in all the shows! hg1 Ho Goo’s Love is a cute, little drama with adorable characters populating its world. It’s darker than expected and cuter than expected. This is an amusing dichotomy but this ride is exceptionally heart-warming.

The story revolves around Ho Goo, a very kind-hearted, naïve, shy, a bit timid young man who never had any girlfriend. Do Hee is the national swimming champion. He suddenly meets his first love, Do Hee, one day and how his life takes a different turn after that, makes up the rest of the show. Continue reading →
