May I Help You? is the new MBC drama arriving on October 19. It is a fantasy romance about a funeral director who can see ghosts and a man who runs errands at a cost of 10 cents. The drama is penned by the writer of 20th Century Boy And Girl, who was also one of the writers of Reply 1997 — which surely makes me look forward to this one. Continue reading →

The premise of tvN’s new drama Under The Queen’s Umbrella (or The Queen’s Umbrella) sounds so refreshing. It is a historical drama about a queen who wants to properly educate her troublemaking sons in order to make them capable of becoming king, while the concubines are vying for the power too for their sons’ future. The upcoming TVING drama Yonder looks whimsical and dreamy. The premise explains why. It’s about a virtual reality world, set in the future, where one can live forever without death. The leads are Shin Ha Kyun (Beyond Evil, Brain) and Han Ji Min (One Spring Night, Our Blues ). Another notable thing — the drama is helmed by Lee Joon Ik, the director of acclaimed movies like The King And The Clown (2005), Sunny (2008) and Dongju: The Portrait Of A Poet (2016). Disney+ is coming up with a new drama, a crime thriller called The Worst Evil. It is about an investigation that’s carried out to bring down a drug ring spread across South Korea, Japan, and China. The premise has the potential to be a taut thriller and I like the cast, I’m interested for sure. Continue reading →

I was already interested in Netflix drama Glitch because of its cast but the plot is intriguing too. It’s headlined by Jeon Yeo Bin (loved her in Be Melodramatic and Vincenzo) and Nana (haven’t seen her in anything but have read lots of good things about her) and is a sci-fi drama that involves aliens. Bonus: it has only 10 episodes. Nana was last seen in drama Oh! Master and in a cameo in currently airing Love In Contract. She is from Kpop group After School. Continue reading →
