Vincenzo is a stylish take on the revenge trope, but it’s accompanied with substance. An unconventional hero, or anti-hero to be exact, takes the center stage in a show full of thrills, humour and feels. Continue reading

I adore Park Min Young — she is so effortlessly charming in her acting, especially in romantic comedies (Her Private Life, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim). Some can argue that she has done a lot of those but I think she brings a different side to each of her characters even if all those dramas are light hearted romances. She has confirmed to star in new JTBC show Cruel Story of Office Romance. The other title is quite a mouthful — Meteorological Administration People: Office Romance Cruelty. Continue reading

Hospital Playlist warmed everyone’s heart with its sweet and emotional story last year. The show is coming back tomorrow on tvN as well as Netflix with its season 2. I’m super excited! The drama has a unique fusion of medical and slice-of-life genres. The show comes from the PD-writer team of Reply series (Answer Me series) and in the same lines, it simply touches your heart and makes you fall in love with its characters and relationships. I highly recommend Hospital Playlist. You can read my detailed review here. Continue reading

I’m tickled pink for upcoming tvN drama Seashore Village ChaChaCha as it stars two of my favorites, Shin Min Ah (My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho, Chief Of Staff) and Kim Seon Ho (Start-Up, Catch The Ghost), in the lead roles. The show is a romantic comedy set in a coastal village with Shin Min Ah playing a brainy but clumsy dentist and Kim Seon Ho starring as an unemployed man who performs all sorts of odd jobs to help the people in the village and is known as Mr. Hong. The show also stars Lee Sang Yi (Once Again) as a successful variety show PD. The drama is a small screen adaptation of 2004 movie Mr. Hong. Continue reading

Korean drama titles can be confusing sometimes as their English translations have a lot of versions. I end up choosing the one used by most platforms. So I’m going with At A Distance, Spring Is Green for the new KBS drama that also goes by the names Blue Spring From A Distance and A Blue Spring from Afar. The show is based around college life and is a coming-of-age tale about the struggles faced by the students and the youth. I’m looking forward to this show which is based on a popular webtoon.
