Scholar Who Walks The Night is the name of upcoming fantasy sageuk on MBC and the drama is more famous for the casting roulette that happened regarding the female leads rather than its subject matter. For a while it looked like the production would get stuck and would not see the light anytime soon. But finally the casting got confirmed with Lee Jun ki headlining the show along with Lee Yoo Bi, Kim So Eun, Changmin (of Kpop group TVXQ) and Lee Soo Hyuk. The balance of the leads does look weird as we have brilliance called Lee Jun Ki on one hand, and the others are also quite good but still a bit green and new. Continue reading →

I’m so sad that Liar Game is ending next week. Normally I complain about the long length of dramas but now when I’m hooked to a show which is in total of 12 episodes long, I’m not ready to say goodbye to it yet. I really hope that there is a season 2 in store for us! This week was pretty intense in Liar Game as we came to see what happens when Continue reading →

I think it’s a bit late for posting my first impressions but I started Liar Game just last week and now that I’ve seen all its six episodes, I’m here to give my thoughts on it. It hit the ground running right from its first episode. The drama is intriguing, having mystery, thrills, anxiety, tension and great characters. I haven’t seen the J-version and so thankfully there is nothing to compare Liar Game with, except to just enjoy every minute of it which brings so much fun, twists and turns. Continue reading →

I’m so glad that I dropped My Secret Hotel midway as the resulting reactions during its run kept on decreasing in positivity with each passing week. My reason for leaving it was simple — I couldn’t connect emotionally with the characters, there was more style than heart and on a technical note, it was pretty jarring for me the way camera showed Continue reading →

I laughed out loud after reading the winners of 2013 MBC Drama Awards. Not that I expect anything substantial coming out of these channel award events as with past experiences, I have understood that they are all about popularity and ratings. But still, even when I kept that in mind, some of the winners left me flabbergasted and some of the actors or dramas that were left out made me realise how meaningless these awards can be. Yeah, these people still managed to surprise us even when we were ready for them! Continue reading →

Full of laughs and full of warmth.
I really liked the subtle, soft and indie-like start of The Interest Of Love.
