Confirmations are in for the female lead opposite Joo Won in the upcoming medical drama Green Scalpel. Moon Chae Won has confirmed that she will be doing this show and will play the role of a committed and principled doctor, and is someone who isn’t afraid to speak her mind, even to her superiors. She is a second year fellow in the pediatric surgery department. She will have romantic lines with both the leads: Joo Won plays an autistic but genius surgeon with a personality of a ten year old and Joo Sang Wook plays charismatic and skilled assistant professor. Okay, this may not be a squeeworthy news for me like so many other viewers, but I’m definitely happy with Joo Won signing on his next drama. The reason is very simple: I haven’t seen any of his dramas (I know!!), and the only thing I’ve seen him in is the first episode of his last show Level 7 Civil Servant which proved to be utterly disappointing.
