I’m keen to check out the new MBC drama Motel California despite its overdone premise of ‘exes to lovers’. The reason — it stars charming Lee Se Young and I’m liking the general vibe. The drama is based on a 2019 novel Home, Bitter Home by writer Shim Yun Seo. The screen adaptation is penned by the screenwriter of dramas 365: Repeat The Year (2020) and Swallow The Sun (2009). MBC is bringing a rom-com titled Motel California and it stars one of my favorites Lee Se Young (The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract) opposite Na In Woo, who I really liked in Marry My Husband. The show is set in a rural area and is based on a 2019 novel Home, Bitter Home. I would have been super excited for this drama but the plot sounds so similar to shows like Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Welcome To Samdal-ri. Continue reading →

A new fantasy romance is arriving on KBS today, titled Jinxed At First (also, Jinx’s Lover), that stars Na In Woo as a fish seller who is a kind man but always has bad luck in his life. His meets a woman, played by Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, one day and his life changes. The woman has a special ability of seeing a person’s future via touch.
