I’m definitely getting vibes of IRIS, Athena and Fugitive Plan B from upcoming drama Prometheus, what with the genre of spy thriller, big budget, top stars and North-South relationship. Despite the mixed results of shows of the genre (main complaint: all style and no substance but I want to remain positive!), this kind of category always makes me excited and since we have confirmed leads in the form of Ha Ji Won and Jin Goo, count me in for sure! Ha Ji Won was fantastic in The King 2 Hearts where she brilliantly portrayed her action packed role. And Jin Goo is always a delight to watch. Continue reading

The first thing that one notices on starting new tvN drama Mr. Sunshine is its gorgeousness. The show is beautifully shot, each frame looks like a painting (think about the period portions of Goblin; only here the whole drama is washed with that loveliness.) The new show from star writer Kim Eun Sook with a cast of top names is also simultaneously airing on Netflix and I’m glad it has only one moniker unlike so many of its peers with multiple names. I think it is better to use the title Let Me Introduce Her for latest SBS weekender than the other About Her as the latter sound so similar to currently airing fantasy About Time and the former also looks more interesting. The plot of this show also gives less weekend vibes and more mystery vibes albeit with melodrama in the mix. Continue reading
