Graceful Family is the title of a new melodrama to be aired on MBN and Dramax. It will be full of mystery as it tells the story of investigating a 15 year old murder. Im Soo Hyang, who gained popularity through last year’s My ID Is Gangnam Beauty, plays the lead role of an heiress who has beauty and brains. Lee Jang Woo (I Do, I Do) plays a passionate lawyer. They both work Continue reading →

Im Soo Hyang has mostly acted in weekend and daily dramas lately (Five Children, Blow Breeze, The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed) but she will now be seen headlining a JTBC drama titled My ID Is Gangnam Beauty. The show is along the lines of ‘ugly duckling turns to swan’ dramas and films (200 Pounds Beauty, Sabrina, Birth Of A Beauty to name a few). Based on a 2016 webtoon, the Continue reading →

The first striking thing about this show is its name — The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed (also called Lovers In Bloom). I don’t know what it has to do with the plot but the drama centers around a small police station. Continue reading →

Empress Ki reigned the small screen for the past six months or so and it is finally ending this month. MBC has secured the Monday-Tuesday slot strictly for sageuks for past few months, beginning with Jo Seung Woo‘s Horse Doctor, then fantasy Gu Family Book, followed by rating as well as quality-wise flop Goddess Of Fire and then the current Empress Ki. The network has decided to change the course with upcoming modern sibling melodrama Triangle which will follow Empress Ki from next month. The show looks quite epic with a Continue reading →

It has been a while since I last wrote about upcoming period drama Age Of Feeling starring Kim Hyun Joong and since then, the show has undergone certain changes: Kim Jae Wook (Who Are You) has joined the cast and Kim So Eun has been replaced by Jin Se Yun (Bridal Mask). Now this is a happy as well as sad news Continue reading →
