The Chaser was one of those dramas of 2012 that were highly acclaimed but were relatively less talked about among the international viewers  It was a political thriller involving conspiracy theme. I haven’t seen it yet, but the team of this show is back with their new epic drama called Empire Of Gold, which has cast Go Soo (Will It Snow For Christmas) in the lead role and will span over 20 years, showing the rise of a business empire. The story begins in 1990 and tells the journey of a man who sees his father working in drastic conditions of poverty and thus his ambition grows like anything to attain the highest position in the business world. His last drama was the sageuk The Moon That Embraces The Sun, which gained super high ratings during its entire run. But I don’t have much interest to watch it myself due to the mixed reviews I’ve got about it and historical dramas are not particularly my favorite thing. Continue reading →

The casting of main leads for the upcoming Hong Sisters drama, titled The Sun of My Master aka The Sun of The Lord (not quite appealing, I know), was reported as So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin; who were in positive consideration of the show. It has resulted in the final confirmation, as is the case most of the times. We now have an interesting pair for this romantic comedy with dash of horror about a woman who can see ghosts and a man who protects her. Continue reading →

He Who Wishes To Wear the Crown Endure Its Weight: Heirs, Heirs, Jung Yong Hwa, Kdrama, Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye

Oh No!! I already expressed my happiness over the casting of upcoming romantic comedy drama Heirs that confirmed Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa as the leads. But today I read the news that Jung Yong Hwa has decided to quit the show, which is written by star writer Kim Eun Sook. The reason for this action was the dissatisfaction regarding his role and that his agency and production company were not able to reach an agreement on it. Also, the actor has a busy schedule as CNBlue is having a world tour this year. Continue reading →
