Upcoming Korean drama Melo Movie has chosen an apt day for its premiere on Netflix — the show sounds like a perfect blend of romance and fun and it is premiering on Valentine’s Day this week. I’m excited for it for several reasons — firstly, the cast! I really like Choi Woo Shik (Our Beloved Summer) and Park Bo Young (Light Shop) and I’m looking forward to their chemistry here. Secondly, the drama has two sets of Continue reading →

The moment I read ‘marriage of convenience‘, that movie/TV show/ book gets my instant attention. The new SBS rom-com titled Would You Marry Me is another addition to this trope. The drama stars Choi Woo Shik (Parasite) and Jung So Min (Love Next Door) in the lead roles. She is not new to this plot — she was amazing in another marriage of convenience drama Because This Is My First Life — one of my all time favorites! Continue reading →

I watched more Korean dramas in 2024 than I did in the past few years. It was a mix bag for me as I loved some wholeheartedly, liked some but not completely and some shows disappointed towards the end (as always LOL). I also dropped some shows, in some cases within 5 minutes (*sigh*). Anyway, read on to find out my year end review — I have given my final impression as “Love, Like or Okay” for each, which is basically how I feel about them overall. Continue reading →

The Tyrant’s Chef is an upcoming tvN drama that previously starred Park Sung Hoon (Squid Game 2) in the lead role but now the role will be played by Lee Chae Min (Hierarchy) after the former left the drama due to a recent controversy. A strange choice for replacement as the two actors are so different in terms of age and experience. Anyway, the drama is a time travel fantasy sageuk and is based on a web novel. Continue reading →
