When you are talking about OCN, I think it’s redundant to mention thriller as a genre. But recently the cable network, known for its gritty, edgy crime dramas, has experimented with broadcasting a romcom (My Secret Romance). One more in line, if not strictly, is new weekender Black. It is a romance drama albeit embellished with Continue reading →

OCN, the home to all thrills and chills, is bringing a new series that follows just completed Duel. It’s titled Save Me (or Rescue Me) and it definitely has a fresh concept as far as Korean thrillers go, where almost every one of them have serial murders as the main theme or the episodic nature (which again has serial-killer-chase as their modus operandi). Save Me bases its plot on a religious cult and its blind following, and is screen adaptation of a webtoon Out Of The World that was published from 2011 to 2013. Continue reading →

Well, mentioning the genre for an OCN drama is totally redundant. The network is known for producing slick, dark, gritty thriller shows and the latest one to join the bunch is Duel. The drama stars Jung Jae Young in the lead role, an actor who mostly does movies. In fact, his first drama came in 2015, Assembly, in such a long acting Continue reading →

This sounds like Signal if Lee Jae Han would have travelled through time and met Park Hae Young. The upcoming thriller for OCN is Tunnel and it has a fantasy laden premise where a detective from past slips in time while tracking down a serial killer. It also marks Choi Jin Hyuk‘s return to dramaland after his military duty. His last drama was Pride And Prejudice in 2014. Continue reading →

OCN is a network known for giving us dark and gritty thrillers one after the other — Bad Guys, Vampire Prosecutor, Special Affairs Team TEN, Neighborhood Hero etc — and now it’s bringing a new show to add in this list. The show is titled Voice and stars Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha Na in the lead roles. I’m really happy to see Jang Hyuk in this drama as this will be new for me to see him in a modern, serious thriller after watching him in Continue reading →
