The countdown has begun for one of the most anticipated and buzzed dramas of 2018 — Mr. Sunshine. Reasons are aplenty with the show comprising the winning combination of writer Kim Eun Sook and PD Lee Eung Bok who gave us two superhits in the very same year — Descendants Of The Sun and Goblin in 2016. Then there is the cast of hottest actors in the TV and Continue reading →

Goblin premiered in the tail end of 2016. It grabbed the headlines the moment it was announced, having plenty of reasons: star writer Kim Eun Suk (penning her second drama on the heels of smash hit Descendants Of The Sun in the very same year), top leads Gong Yoo (returning to small screen after a long time since 2012’s Big) and Kim Go Eun (mostly a movie actress and winning hearts with drama debut in Cheese In The Trap) and a fantasy filled premise. And as expected, Goblin went on to become a smash hit, hitting the right notes for the most part as it is certainly not without flaws.

Now this is what I call a large-scale show from every angle. The Lonely Shining Goblin or simply Goblin screams blockbuster from its very first frame. It has a movie-like quality, especially in its sageuk scenes (the history portion) and it is grand, not only in style but also in content. And of course, the star cast includes the hottest names. Hit drama writer Kim Eun Sook has another ratings winner in her successful filmography. Continue reading →

After Legend Of The Blue Sea, there is one more premiere left that has the tag of “one of the most anticipated dramas of 2016” — The Lonely Shining Goblin or simply Goblin. Despite not being a fan of the writer’s dramas, I’m looking forward to this one as it has Gong Yoo! I said the same for Descendants Of The Sun (Song Joong Ki!) and Continue reading →

The newly premiered tvN drama Vincenzo comes with an interesting case for me — I found the first episode good in parts but was not feeling the urge to continue. Ultimately, I did click next and wow, the show kept getting better, with episode 4 delivering on so many fronts. It was indeed a good decision to continue!
The new Korean drama 'Sisyphus: The Myth' is not without flaws, but I found the first two episodes quite intriguing. The show is available on @netflix.
