It’s raining dramas guys! Left, right, front, centre — I can only see dramas and more dramas. The task to tackle 5 shows simultaneously (to be exact, they are Warm And Cozy, The Producers, Orange Marmalade, Mask, Masked Prosecutor) looks as difficult as to grasp one’s shadow but I’ll still give it a try. Marathon in future looks more difficult as real life responsibilities won’t allow me to do so. Anyway, May is an amazing month as Continue reading

I love Seo In Guk. I adored him in Answer Me 1997 but that became full-blown love after High School King Of Savvy. I think there is a lot of warmth in his acting aside from being deft in emoting and comedy. I didn’t watch King’s Face because the subject matter of that show was as interesting to me as reading a blank diary. His newest drama is I Remember You, which came as a surprise because the drama was courting lots of actors (Lee Jin Wook, Lee Sang Yoon) till finally confirming his name and also because he just wrapped up his last drama. Scholar Who Walks The Night is the name of upcoming fantasy sageuk on MBC and the drama is more famous for the casting roulette that happened regarding the female leads rather than its subject matter. For a while it looked like the production would get stuck and would not see the light anytime soon. But finally the casting got confirmed with Lee Jun ki headlining the show along with Lee Yoo Bi, Kim So Eun, Changmin (of Kpop group TVXQ) and Lee Soo Hyuk. The balance of the leads does look weird as we have brilliance called Lee Jun Ki on one hand, and the others are also quite good but still a bit green and new. Continue reading

First thing first: if you are going for Warm And Cozy for some deep, complex plot, you’ll be disappointed. But if you want to delve into a story which is warm, soothing, sweet about two people who are so different and yet so same, then this drama is for you. The tone of the show is definitely different from the usual stuff we see in dramaland. Maybe it’s due to the setting, which is in Jeju Island or it can be because the drama does not comes out of the gate with many plot points or narratives. It’s just flowing naturally, except for the first scene about twins confusion but more on that later. Continue reading

Kim Myung Min. Yoo Ah In. Byun Yo Han. How can I turn a blind eye like I normally do for long sageuks when the drama signs on these powerhouse performers together. I would never have imagined these names to be written down in a single line but I’m totally anticipating this drama. Can you believe that? For a long sageuk, the story of which sounds all boring and political. LOL. Anyway, the epic series Six Flying Dragons is going to be broadcast on SBS, a highly ambitious project, and comes from the team behind highly acclaimed historical drama Tree With Deep Roots, which came in 2011.
