I didn’t have any intention of watching Orange Marmalade but as the date of its premiere neared, I became mildly interested in it and once-a-week format looked appealing too. Plus, I had never seen any Yeo Jin Goo work and I wanted to find out why everyone goes ga-ga over him. LOL. And after two episodes, it’s LOVE for Orange Marmalade, as well as for Yeo Jin Goo. First thing first: if you are going for Warm And Cozy for some deep, complex plot, you’ll be disappointed. But if you want to delve into a story which is warm, soothing, sweet about two people who are so different and yet so same, then this drama is for you. The tone of the show is definitely different from the usual stuff we see in dramaland. Maybe it’s due to the setting, which is in Jeju Island or it can be because the drama does not comes out of the gate with many plot points or narratives. Ho Goo’s Love aired from February to March but I couldn’t watch it then. So I thought now was the perfect time to catch up the show (as I’m only watching one show) and after 4 episodes, it’s total love for this tvN drama. It has this amazing balance of two things which was as different for a narrative as days and nights. At one side, the drama has this cute, comics like quality where certain things get exaggerated by adding fantasy elements or graphical depiction. Girl Who Sees Smells started airing yesterday and I liked the first episode which was enjoyable from start to finish. The tone shifted seamlessly from scary and creepy, to sad and finally cute and funny. The main leads are adorable and I especially like the heroine as we have yet to see more about our hero.
