Hotel Del Luna has gained ratings as well as popularity since its premiere back in July. I started it but currently its status is on hold for me, leaning towards dropped category as my interest is very minimal for this fantasy show. I like the setting, acting, music, characters, IU‘s costumes. But somehow it lacks that magic that I expect from the writers, my favorite, the Hong Sisters. Or else, I’m unsuccessful in funding that hook which enables me to continue a drama. Or the Master’s Sun-esque episodic format is the downside. Maybe I will get back to it when in the right mood. TV show to TV show remakes are aplenty in Korean dramaverse but this Monday will see the premiere of a Korean movie remake in the form of drama The Crowned Clown. It is the small screen adaptation of superhit 2012 historical film Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King (aka Masquerade), which starred Lee Byung Hun and Han Hyo Joo in the lead roles and bagged many awards that year.
