It is one of the most widely used themes in novels, movies and TV shows and I love it. Moon Geun Young likely to star in a sageuk again

I first saw Moon Geun Young in My Little Bride, my first ever venture into Korean entertainment. I loved that film (still love it to pieces) and liked her a lot. She was cute and carried emotional scenes pretty well. Later, when I started watching dramas, a far better thing than the Korean movies, I wasn’t interested in seeing any of her dramas as they didn’t attract me because of their poor reviews. Stills from the upcoming melodrama ‘When A Man Loves’

Okay so we have got lots of stills from the Song Seung Heon melodrama When A Man Loves, in which he is playing a gangster and the pictures are self-explanatory for his role: dark suits, sunglasses, facial hair, leather jackets: everything pinpointing towards him being a desperado. And though I haven’t seen his earlier drama East Of Eden, judging from the poster of that, one can surely see the similarities in appearance. So, whats new?? Maybe that he is playing a married man, who falls for a young, hardworking girl. I’m totally disinterested in this story, since I will be at loss when it comes to rooting for someone in the show. Continue reading
