Another weekend entrant! MBC is bringing You Are Too Much as its new show for the slot of Saturdays and Sundays following Blow Breeze and I have to say it looks very different from the usual weekenders that we see, all emitting an air of ‘copy and paste’. The show is a story about an ageing pop diva and a girl who desperately wants to become like her. Continue reading →

Just give me a moment as I can’t stop laughing after seeing the HILARIOUS posters from upcoming KBS drama Blood. It is so weird with leading man Ahn Jae Hyun hugging himself — he is doctor as well as vampire in the show. Then there is the other one where the leads are drinking blood via stethoscope! LOL. The creative team behind the posters took it too literally! Anyway, this mild snark aside, I’m actually going to watch this show as it can have either of the two ways to go: it can be ‘so bad it’s good’ variety or it can surprise everyone by being genuinely good, which is not like a pipe dream as the Continue reading →

KBS is struggling from a few weeks to lock down the cast for its upcoming medical fantasy drama Blood with lead roles floating from Jung Il Woo to Yoo Yeon Seok and finally it has succeeded in confirming the main leads in Ahn Jae Hyun and Gu Hye Sun. Now this is one pair I would never have expected (points for surprise!) and now this out-of-left-field casting has increased my interest in the show. Ji Jin Hee (One Warm Word) has already been cast along with Kwon Hyun Sang, who I remember played one of the South Korean contestants in The King 2 Hearts along with Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won in WOC. I haven’t seen Gu Hye Sun in anything else other than the off-the-charts popular and hit Boys Before Flowers where I had a mixed opinion about her performance. She was good at some parts but mostly I felt that there was a lot of over-acting on her part and it didn’t help that the chemistry with Lee Min Ho was one-sided. Her following projects (The Musical, Take Care Of Us Captain) didn’t interest me and they couldn’t follow the Continue reading →

From Boys Before Flowers. It’s not a great drama. Far from it. But completely entertaining for sure. Continue reading →

Full of laughs and full of warmth.
I really liked the subtle, soft and indie-like start of The Interest Of Love.
