Last year one drama came that was as low buzzed as possible but then after its premiere, it won million of hearts. Episode 8 of God’s Gift – 14 Days did a great job in taking a break from the tension dipped atmosphere and involved some emotional beats. Also we got to see the proper picture of our protagonists’ pasts.
It was surprising to see that even Min Ah was not involved in Saet Byul’s kidnapping and on top of that, she even saved her from the accident. Ji Hoon turned out to be worse than I imagined, even if he is a good father and all. Now the scene with him talking to somebody in the car and giving him some task adds another mystery in our glass which is already filled up to the brim with it! I’m actually not raking my brains too much as it is fun to let the show inform me about who, what, why, when, how.

I knew that God’s Gift – 14 Days will again leave us with more mysteries and questions and the feeling that we cannot trust anyone here and it is too soon to relax that the killer/ kidnapper has been found. But nothing feels shoehorned here or hodge-podge as the writer knows where she is taking the story and what is to be the end game — like a fast car with an expert driver who knows just where he wants to go. Even if we have got all the murderers as the red herrings with respect to our main case, I do feel satisfied that these expeditions by Soo Hyun (I want to use ajhumma here as her name is not being used a lot) and Dong Chan have at least saved the world from two dangerous criminals. So as we move forward, unraveling more layers and mysteries, more other cases are being solved.

Yay! Kim Myung Min is back in dramaland! After enthralling me with his pitch perfect performance in King Of Dramas, he is headlining his next show called A New Leaf where he will be playing a successful lawyer who loses his memory after an accident and then the drama revolves around him trying to rediscover who he truly is. He is one actor who always slips into the skin of his characters and keeps on doing versatile roles with infusing each of them with right touch of believability and firecracker energy. What came as a bolt from the blue was the casting of his leading lady and she is Park Min Young— now this is one unexpected and unlikely pairing but I like it due to the very same reason. I find Park Min Young cute and bubbly and liked her a lot in City Hunter and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. She is returning to the small screen after 2 years as she did Dr. Jin in 2012 and recently was in talks to join Dr. Stranger and You’re All Surrounded, both of which she didn’t take ultimately. I think this is one good project to work in.
