I’m equally bewildered and equally feel great that I’m writing my third year-end review. From those who know me from the starting of my WordPress journey must be knowing that The Drama Corner is not my first blog. I tried so many times to finally stick with this one when I finally realised how and what I wanted to do, most importantly, I grew fond of writing. Hence, I’m so happy that blogging and this blog has become so special and a constant motivator for me. Continue reading →

God’s Gift – 14 Days is that perfect case of a drama that could have been an awesome thriller but then it did something terrible to tarnish most of its lustre. I’m actually having a polarised view — there were lots and lots of things that I loved and then there was this thing that I hated with the heat of a thousand burning suns. One thing is for sure: you’ll at least get a delicious treat while watching the awesomeness called Jo Seung Woo! Every year, the dramaland embraces at least one stand out theme that governs most of the shows. It may be due to blind following of a subject based on the success of any similar-themed drama or the producers feel that the particular topic is hot among the viewers. Whatever the case, we can all feel the unmistakable dominance of certain colors in the canvas of dramas. For instance, 2012 was all about time travelling (which is still being used till now) while 2013 had a deluge of sageuks adorning the small screens. Speaking of 2014, I’m observing three main characteristics — thrillers, noona romances and OTP reunions. At least the first quarter of the year says so. Let’s have a look at the first trend in this post aka thrillers & mysteries. Continue reading →

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I’m amazed how God’s Gift – 14 Days managed to plummet from “one of the best shows this year” to “one of the worst shows ever” status for me. How can these writers just throw cold water on the viewers’ face with their crappy endings. The final scene of the drama is simply a hard pill to swallow. I’m so, so enraged right now that I simply can’t express it here! Continue reading →

Spoilers ahead.

Each and every episode of God’s Gift – 14 Days makes my mind so, so confused at first and then things start falling into place once I rewind my memory to all the important events taken place till that time. It is an exercise but a good one all the same. Episode 14 was more of a slower one if we talk about actions and thrills and revelations. They were there of course (as this show loves to mark its path with more and more clues and answers) but the tone was more calm and composed. Continue reading →

Full of laughs and full of warmth.
I really liked the subtle, soft and indie-like start of The Interest Of Love.
