I finally jumped on the bandwagon of current rating winner You From Another Star which is receiving equal love from the online viewers across the globe as well. I’m happy to report that I liked the first two episodes. Things happened at a nice pace which were a medley of comedy, mystery, romance, historical and sci-fi. I enjoyed every bit of it. I laughed out loud after reading the winners of 2013 MBC Drama Awards. Not that I expect anything substantial coming out of these channel award events as with past experiences, I have understood that they are all about popularity and ratings. But still, even when I kept that in mind, some of the winners left me flabbergasted and some of the actors or dramas that were left out made me realise how meaningless these awards can be. I find Kim Soo Hyun really adorable and cute, and pretty!! And the most important thing: his acting is superb. I’ve seen him in only Dream High, where he was the highlight in terms of acting. His last drama was the sageuk The Moon That Embraces The Sun, which gained super high ratings during its entire run. But I don’t have much interest to watch it myself due to the mixed reviews I’ve got about it and historical dramas are not particularly my favorite thing. Continue reading →
