Hospital Playlist was one of the best Korean dramas from last year and one of its highlights for me was the lovely soundtrack that made the whole experience much more amazing. The show’s music consists of covers of popular Korean songs released in the 1990s and 2000s, garnishing them with a fresh flavour. The soundtrack right away brings the soothing feeling of nostalgia and old-school. Needless to say, the OST is currently on loop for me! Continue reading →

I love multi-starred movies and I also love romantic comedies, so it’s a natural deduction that I love rom-coms with many actors and multiple couples. Valentines Day, New Year’s Eve, He’s Just Not That Into You and Love Actually are some of the films I enjoy immensely. And now Korean movie New Year Blues is all set to join this category. The upcoming movie comes from the director of The Naked Kitchen and Will You Be There? who also directed similarly themed The Night Before the Wedding (Marriage Blue) back in 2013. First Impressions: Mr. Sunshine

The first thing that one notices on starting new tvN drama Mr. Sunshine is its gorgeousness. The show is beautifully shot, each frame looks like a painting (think about the period portions of Goblin; only here the whole drama is washed with that loveliness.) The new show from star writer Kim Eun Sook with a cast of top names is also simultaneously airing on Netflix and I’m glad it has only one moniker unlike so many of its peers with multiple names.
