Shin Hye Sun was lovely in Thirty But Seventeen and it was also the first time that I loved her as I was mostly indifferent to her previous roles as supporting cast member in shows like High School King Of Savvy and She Was Pretty. Adding to that her impressive performance in Forest Of Secrets which I only got to watch this year, she has become one of the actresses whom I’m always excited to see. The upcoming tvN drama Awaken seems to fit the bill — it’s about a current mysterious case which is related to a mysterious incident that occurred more than 25 years ago in a village. The Uncanny Counter is the latest thriller from OCN, a network known for this genre. Also named Amazing Rumor, the drama will have a supernatural, fantasy angle to it. It follows the story of a group of demon hunters known as ‘Counters’ who live on earth, disguised as the employees of a noodle restaurant. Their mission is to track down evil spirits.
