Boyfriend is definitely one of the most anticipated dramas this year. It stars two of the most popular stars of dramaverse and their respective comebacks after 2 years. Song Hye Kyo did megahit Descendants Of The Sun and Park Bo Gum also gave a hit, Moonlight Drawn By Clouds in 2016. He is the reason I’m most excited for as he totally won my heart in shows like Answer Me 1988 , I Remember You and the above mentioned sageuk. I like Song Hye Kyo a lot, just not a huge fan. Room No. 9, the upcoming tvN drama, is one of those shows that I never pay attention to initially but once I read in detail about them, I’m excited to give them a try. It is a fantasy drama with an interesting and mysterious premise. Kim Hee Sun (Angry Mom, Woman Of Diginity) stars as a top-notch lawyer with 100 percent success record whose soul gets swapped Continue reading →

Kim Yoon Jin is a Korean actress who is best known for playing one of the main characters in American TV show Lost. She has also been active in Korean films (Ode To My Father, Neighbor) but it will be her first small screen drama in 19 years as she is starring in SBS drama Ms. Ma, Nemesis, which is based on Agatha Christie‘s character Miss Marple. I love the writer and Miss Marple’s low key and psychological investigation, so I’m fully on board this train, and also to see Continue reading →

It is like a wish come true when two of your favorite actors are cast together in a drama and new tvN melo Hundred Million Stars From The Sky aka The Smile Has Left Your Eyes is one such show, that stars Seo In Guk and Jung So Min in the lead roles. The drama is a Korean remake of popular 2002 Japanese drama Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi (also, One Million Stars Falling from the Sky). I’ve read that it is a dark tale but since I’m someone who hate spoilers, I never read details about it. Korean dramas tend to be relatively lighter, so I guess we can expect that from Hundred Million Stars From The Sky as well.

I know the drama deluge is drowning us in dramas and difficult decisions of what to start, what to skip and what to marathon later. This Monday three big networks premiered new shows — MBC brought Bad Papa, JTBC Beauty Inside and SBS premiered Where Stars Land (or Fox Bride Star). I had not written about the last one, so here is a preview, though the drama has already aired its first episode.
