I just started What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (also, Why Secretary Kim) so it’s too early for me to gauge a first impression (had to put it on hold for some other work) but I liked what I saw in few minutes into the show. I got some idea about the characters, though the dynamics I still have to observe. The drama garnered good ratings in its premiere week on tvN — 5.8% and 5.4% for first and second episode respectively (source). Planning to marathon the first 2 episodes very soon and get on the live bandwagon. Continue reading →

Upcoming grand scale tvN drama aka Mr. Sunshine is gearing up for its premiere next month and has released character posters for complete main cast. The pictures look equally epic and quality stuff. Let’s hope the show also delivers in terms of execution, plot and production values as it’s set in the era of early 20th century. It’s a 100 percent pre-produced drama. Brownie points for this factor! The show once again reunites writer Kim Eun Sook and director Lee Eung Bok after superhit shows (both aired in 2016) Descendants Of The Sun and Goblin. Mr. Sunshine is chock-a-block with popular actors who are known for their acting talent and popularity in films as well as television. Continue reading →

I’m really digging the promo bits of upcoming OCN drama Life On Mars, a Korean remake of British TV show of the same name that ran for 2 seasons from 2006 to 2007. The original has spawned many remakes in various countries like the USA, Russia, Spain and Czech Republic. The story is reverse of Tunnel where a detective was transformed to modern time. In Life On Mars, a police detective is sent to the year of 1988 (the original had him sent to the 70s period.)

I’m totally bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming tvN romantic comedy What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (also, Why Secretary Kim). It has got perfect rom-com leads in Park Seo Joon (Witch’s Romance. She Was Pretty, Fight My Way) and Park Min Young (Sungkyunkwan Scandal, City Hunter, Healer) who have Continue reading →

I’m super excited for new JTBC thriller Sketch as it stars Rain and sounds intriguing too, having a supernatural angle. Rain was amazing in action drama Fugitive Plan B and it’s great to see him back in the genre where he plays a detective. He is reuniting with Lee Dong Gun after 15 years as they both starred in 2003 melo Sang Doo, Let’s Go To School (that also starred Gong Hyo Jin). So happy that a show is starring leading men from early 2000s!
