I’m looking forward to upcoming SBS drama Flex X Cop — I like the cast, I love action-comedies and this one uses the fun trope of serious/immature detective duo. Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun are reuniting here after Yumi’s Cells (2021). Both the actors started their careers with supporting roles (Ahn Bo Hyun in Her Private Life, Itaewon Class, Descendants Of The Sun, etc.; Park Ji Hyun in Do You Like Brahms?, Reborn Rich, etc.) and it’s so good to see them now as main leads in their projects. We have a new Seo In Guk drama! The title is Café Minamdang and it’s based on an eponymous web novel. It is about a swindling shaman who was once a profiler and who uses his sharp instincts to win his clients’ hearts. He runs a fortune teller shop Minamdang. Oh Yeon Seo, of shows A Korean Odyssey and Mad For Each Other, plays a detective in the violent crimes unit who somehow gets involved with the hero. Seo In Guk is one of my favorite actors but I could not get into his last drama Doom at Your Service. I’m hoping Café Minamdang provides me an enjoyable ride! Continue reading →

Thriller is one of my favorite genres and I’m always ready for a new movie or show or novel from the category, even if sometimes they end being a disappointment. New movie The Witness released yesterday on the 15th of August and stars Lee Sung Min in the lead role. He is a fantastic actor — I loved his Continue reading →

I’m very interested in upcoming weekend drama Second to Last Love, which is sudden because I didn’t pay attention to it until recently when I realised it’s premiering this week. The show is a remake of a Jdrama of the same name and stars Kim Hee Ae, Ji Jin Hee, Kim Seul Gi and Kwak Shi Yang in the lead roles. Firstly, I like this cast a lot and secondly, the plot is also pretty feel-good. Continue reading →
