It feels like I haven’t seen a Park Seo Joon drama in ages! The last I saw was Itaewon Class back in 2020. I’m glad he will be starring in a romantic comedy next — it’s JTBC’s Waiting For Gyeongdo. Won Ji An (D.P.) has been cast as the female lead opposite him. The show is another addition to ‘exes-to-lovers’ trope (I have no clue why every other drama these days is about reunited lovers) but there are certain fresh elements added to it to make things more interesting. ENA is bringing a new drama, reuniting Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon after 10 years as they starred together in fantasy comedy movie Wonderful Nightmare back in 2015. I didn’t plan back to back Byun Yo Han posts but here we are! The actor had drama Uncle Samsik premiere on May 15 and there was also the release of his movie Following — also on May 15! My Liberation Notes left me with mixed feelings. I loved a lot of things about it but by the time it ended, it felt like the journey was not as fulfilling as I wished it would be.
