Spoilers ahead.

I knew that God’s Gift – 14 Days will again leave us with more mysteries and questions and the feeling that we cannot trust anyone here and it is too soon to relax that the killer/ kidnapper has been found. But nothing feels shoehorned here or hodge-podge as the writer knows where she is taking the story and what is to be the end game — like a fast car with an expert driver who knows just where he wants to go. Even if we have got all the murderers as the red herrings with respect to our main case, I do feel satisfied that these expeditions by Soo Hyun (I want to use ajhumma here as her name is not being used a lot) and Dong Chan have at least saved the world from two dangerous criminals. So as we move forward, unraveling more layers and mysteries, more other cases are being solved.

There were so many questions lingering on our minds since God’s Gift – 14 Days started and the 6th episode answered lots of them—Dong Chan’s backstory, the connection between him and the serial killer, what is the source of contention between him and Woo Jin, why he always kept on thinking that Ji hoon’s face looks familiar, the motive of the serial murders. Yes, there is the whole deluge of answers provided for our perusal. But that doesn’t mean we are free from the mystery totally as the uneasy feeling of ‘there might be somebody else involved in it’ never goes and it is so creepy! Continue reading →

Episode 5 of God’s Gift – 14 Days was all about the showdown with the serial killer we thought would be killed last week. It amazes me how quickly the state of affairs changed—first we discovered the identity of the murderer (a creepy surprise), then the players of the drama found out about him (in the same episode without meandering for the cat and mouse chase and taking up time for it), then he was captured and confronted, Continue reading →

AWESOME. Simply awesome!

Episode 4 of God’s Gift – 14 Days was masterly crafted—and ended at a point where I don’t know what’s gonna happen next. It’s more like a point where other movies or dramas end but in this case we have 12 episodes left or in drama’s terms 12 days. Wow, I never expected them to take this kind of turn but that’s what is the secret of an awesome thriller—you keep guessing and then they will bring a great twist! Continue reading →

Episode 3 of God’s Gift – 14 Days was simply amazing. It sealed my love for the drama by being totally gripping from start to finish. All the back stories of our characters came into light and the main action has started with full swing. I like that the drama has that balanced pace where we get slow moments that emphasize the emotional value of a character while the narrative also takes a fast speed whenever the thrilling movements come into picture.
