So much has been said about the clichéd nature of weekend kdramas including my own multiple posts. But then there are definitely exceptions that can be seen and one more to join that list is upcoming MBC weekender Bad Thief, Good Thief (or Thief-nom, Thief-nim). The drama is about a group of thieves who act like Robin Hood and thus steal from the corrupt as well as powerful and try to cause damage to them. I’m deliriously happy in relation to upcoming romantic comedy drama Suspicious Partner as it seems to have everything I want in my K-drama. It stars Ji Chang Wook in a romcom! His first since a long time as his last few shows/movies have been all action ones (Healer, The K2, Fabricated City) even though they did have romantic sprinklings. Although sageuks never cause an increment in my excitement meter for a show, upcoming romance drama Ruler: Master of the Mask does make me a bit interested. It is mostly due to the cast, comprising young talents Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun in the lead roles. Frankly speaking, I haven’t seen any of his dramas before and have seen her in only minor roles (except maybe Goblin, where her role cannot be considered minor). But I have read so many good things about these two and know how amazing she is, and looks so graceful in a sageuk; it definitely had to be a positive feeling for Ruler: Master of the Mask.
