I think the first thing I heard about K-entertainment was the movie My Sassy Girl. It was super popular (still is) and many of my non-kdrama-lover friends have at least heard about it. It was released in 2001 and stars Cha Tae Hyun and Jeon Ji Hyun in the lead roles. Oh I like the plot of new movie Retrial, a legal drama film about a boy who gets wrongly accused of a murder, gets sentenced to jail for 10 years and a lawyer who fights for him when his case is reopened. Ji Chang Wook has been doing back to back action in his last few projects, namely 2014’s Healer and last year’s The K2. His latest venture, movie Fabricated City also falls in the same genre. The film just got released this week. It has the age old plot of a man wrongly accused of murder and then trying to clear his name.
