The first thing that one notices on starting new tvN drama Mr. Sunshine is its gorgeousness. The show is beautifully shot, each frame looks like a painting (think about the period portions of Goblin; only here the whole drama is washed with that loveliness.) The new show from star writer Kim Eun Sook with a cast of top names is also simultaneously airing on Netflix and I’m glad it has only one moniker unlike so many of its peers with multiple names. The countdown has begun for one of the most anticipated and buzzed dramas of 2018 — Mr. Sunshine. Reasons are aplenty with the show comprising the winning combination of writer Kim Eun Sook and PD Lee Eung Bok who gave us two superhits in the very same year — Descendants Of The Sun and Goblin in 2016. Then there is the cast of hottest actors in the TV and Continue reading →

Hearts in my eyes!

I LOVED Lee Min Ki and Jung So Min in Because This Life Is Our First — their chemistry was just off the charts. And hence, my happy dance on hearing that the duo will be making a guest appearance on currently airing hit Korean drama What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (or Why Secretary Kim), the ratings for which just keep on increasing week after week. I have only seen Continue reading →

I just started What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (also, Why Secretary Kim) so it’s too early for me to gauge a first impression (had to put it on hold for some other work) but I liked what I saw in few minutes into the show. I got some idea about the characters, though the dynamics I still have to observe. The drama garnered good ratings in its premiere week on tvN — 5.8% and 5.4% for first and second episode respectively (source). Planning to marathon the first 2 episodes very soon and get on the live bandwagon. Continue reading →

I love the summery and carefree posters of new tvN drama About Time that premiered this week as a Monday-Tuesday show. It stars Lee Sung Kyung as a woman who can see a person’s life span with her special ability while Lee Sang Yoon plays a man who somehow stops her time clock. She plays a musical actress and he  Continue reading →
