I love, love, love the best-friends-to-lovers trope in fictional romance from the bottom of my heart and this is the very first reason for my uber excitement for upcoming KBS romcom drama Fight My Way (or Third-rate My Way). The second being the leads — Park Seo Joon (last seen in a sageuk role in Hwarang) and Kim Ji Won (finally landing a leading role after doing memorable supporting ones in megahits like Descendants Of The Sun and Heirs). Thirdly, the main dynamics with the second leads, who have a relationship of their own instead of wasting time in meddling with the main Continue reading →

A new daily drama is starting this week, airing from Monday to Friday on MBC and it’s titled I Love You Danji (also going by the name Return of Lucky Pot). The only cast member I know is Lee Pil Mo who was great in Pinocchio. For weekday prime time shows, he last appeared in a cameo role in tvN hit Oh Hae Young Again. I enjoyed him in Heirs while it aired but on the hindsight, I Continue reading →

So much has been said about the clichéd nature of weekend kdramas including my own multiple posts. But then there are definitely exceptions that can be seen and one more to join that list is upcoming MBC weekender Bad Thief, Good Thief (or Thief-nom, Thief-nim). The drama is about a group of thieves who act like Robin Hood and thus steal from the corrupt as well as powerful and try to cause damage to them. This faction has Ji Hyun Woo (Queen In Hyun’s Man) as its leader. Continue reading →

I’m deliriously happy in relation to upcoming romantic comedy drama Suspicious Partner as it seems to have everything I want in my K-drama. It stars Ji Chang Wook in a romcom! His first since a long time as his last few shows/movies have been all action ones (Healer, The K2, Fabricated City) even though they did have romantic sprinklings. Plus, the leading lady is Nam Ji Hyun, who was a delight in Shopping King Louis. And the plot also looks perfect for an opposites attract romance. Last but not Continue reading →
