Dystopia as a genre is not common in Kdramaland. In fact, I don’t recall any show which had this theme. tvN’s new drama The Devil Judge is trying to break new grounds as it’s set in an alternate universe, in a dystopian world, where courtrooms broadcast their trials live for the whole world to see. Something like a reality show. Continue reading →

You Are My Spring is the new romance drama on tvN which is bringing a fresh pairing of Seo Hyun Jin and Kim Dong Wook. The actress has done a lot of romcoms previously, like Let’s Eat 2, Oh Hae Young Again, Temperature of Love, The Beauty Inside. But her last drama Black Dog was a departure from those romantic plots. Kim Dong Wook was last seen in melodrama Find Me In Your Memory. They are joined by Yoon Park, who I really adored in Age Of Youth and The Package, and Nam Gyu Ri, who got lots of praise for her last drama Kairos. Continue reading →

Vincenzo is a stylish take on the revenge trope, but it’s accompanied with substance. An unconventional hero, or anti-hero to be exact, takes the center stage in a show full of thrills, humour and feels. Continue reading →

Hospital Playlist warmed everyone’s heart with its sweet and emotional story last year. The show is coming back tomorrow on tvN as well as Netflix with its season 2. I’m super excited! The drama has a unique fusion of medical and slice-of-life genres. The show comes from the PD-writer team of Reply series (Answer Me series) and in the same lines, it simply touches your heart and makes you fall in love with its characters and relationships. I highly recommend Hospital Playlist. You can read my detailed review here. Continue reading →
