Normally every month brings new Korean dramas for us to savour but this March seems especially flooded with many drama premieres and all seem very interesting for a variety of reasons. Good thing is, there is something for everyone, if you are choosy with the genre and the actors. Best way to keep a track is to make a list and hopefully the following list would be helpful: Continue reading →

Angel’s Last Mission: Love, Do Ji Won, Infinite, KBS, Kim Bo Mi, Kim In Kwon, L, Lee Dong Gun, Shin Hye Sun

Angel’s Last Mission: Love is coming up on KBS this Wednesday and I’m actually looking forward to it for its interesting premise. It is a fantasy romance where INFINITE‘S L plays a carefree angel and Shin Hye Sun stars as a cold ballerina. In order to return to heaven, he is given a mission — to make her fall in love. But well, as all our tales go, he falls for her instead. I really liked Shin Hye Sun in her first leading role in Thirty But Seventeen, so I’m looking forward to see an opposite character from that sugary sweet one. L was last seen in Miss Hammurabi. Although sageuks never cause an increment in my excitement meter for a show, upcoming romance drama Ruler: Master of the Mask does make me a bit interested. It is mostly due to the cast, comprising young talents Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun in the lead roles. Frankly speaking, I haven’t seen any of his dramas before and have seen her in only minor roles (except maybe Goblin, where her role cannot be considered minor). But I have read so many good things about these two and know how amazing she is, and looks so graceful in a sageuk; it definitely had to be a positive feeling for Ruler: Master of the Mask. And finally it’s here — Rain‘s comeback drama after 4 years has arrived to grace our screens with She’s So Lovable premiering this week and it is just as we all expected: a story with a very predictable plot and characters. In fact it doesn’t bother in giving any new spin or springing any surprises with it — there is a wounded hero, a candy heroine [not to forget, doing all kinds of part-time jobs, running from the loan sharks], a very annoying and insensitive second female lead, a Continue reading →

I wanted to watch Navillera since the first time I read its synopsis. I’m happy to report that it’s as heartwarming as I expected. Tap the link in bio to read my first impressions. The show is also available on Netflix.
Not as many dramas are premiering in March as last month, but I see a lot of attractions this month, with genres ranging from thrillers-sci-fi to classic romcoms to period dramas to horror. Find the list of March dramas at the link in bio.
