Well, well, the upcoming fantasy drama by the Hong Sisters (their filmography list contains most of my all time favourite dramas: Delightful Girl Choon Hyang, You’re Beautiful, Best Love to name a few) titled Hwayugi has finally lined up its confirmed cast and it has definitely curated a multitudinous array of actors to infuse life into its many characters. The show will be aired on cable network tvN and is based on classic Chinese novel Journey To The West. It will take place in the modern world and convert the characters accordingly. Youthful variety-drama ‘The Best Hit’ starts this Friday on KBS

I loved The Producers, overall and especially in its initial days when it experimented with a brand new format of mixing elements of drama and variety, a mockumentary style to tell its narrative. Unfortunately it dropped that style to fit in with the large audience’s demand. The broadcast network KBS thankfully wanted to bring this refreshing treatment back again and hence, we have that in the form of The Best Hit. I love high school films as they come invested with love, warmth, friendships, fun, innocence, teen angst and nostalgia. Hot Blooded Youth is the upcoming teen romance film set in the 80s about the love lives and friendships of high school students.
